890. Golden Oldies & The "S" Word
We will post this on to the "Golden Oldies: blog as well as it will give them a laugh !!! Hiopefully they won't fall out of their rocking chairs !!!
Every fortnight, the "golden oldies" living in a rest home have a group meeting, where there is always a doctor in the house. The doctor decided to ask the "golden oldies", how often they had sex !!! When he asked how many did it once a night, a couple of hands went up. Once a week - a few more hands. Once a fornight, a couple of hands. Once a month, a few hands. Finally he asked, how many only did it once a year !!! One hand went up and it was waving all over the place. The doctor said, to him "Pardon my curiosity, but if you only do it, once a year, why are you so excitied". The fella replied - "Tonights the night !!!

Blogs & Blogging - where it's at ??? Who knows. All I know is that its a great past-time. I have put a smile on a lot of peoples dials - brought tears to their eyes, with laughter. Will it ever end ? Everything has to come to an end sooner or later. When ??? All we can do is make the most of what we ahve got and have been given. In other words, enjoy it, while we can. If you have never had a "blog" before, it is never too late to start - www.blogspot.com is all you need. Some of you would of come in through the back door - via a search engine, so you may not have a blog. If you have any questions, email us - we will help you out.

About $200 billion or the equivalent of 29% of India's gross domestic product is locked up in jewellery and the nation shows no signs of losing its fondness for the metal.India's latest census shows that more than 47 million girls in tha age group 15 - 29 have yet to marry. Assuming 80% of them do so, in the next 5 years, thats 38 million weddings. At a modest 10g per wedding, that will translate into 76 metric tons a year. Thats a lot of "gold" in anyones language.
893. Living - Hedgehog Slice
Please note - No "real" hedgehogs are used in this recipe.
Melt 350g dark chocolate & 175g butter, in a small saucepan over low heat. Mix in 1 1/2c chopped wine/plain biscuits, ic sultanas, 1/2c dried apricots/ chopped. Line a loaf pan with clipfilm/gladwrap - pour in mixture. Place in fridge to set. A easy as recipe. Don't eat it all at once.

895. Hells Gate - Feel The Earths Raw Power !!!.
Someone had a photo on their blog of a sign with "hell" on it, where it was covered in ice - I can't remember who it was now, but it was an interesting blog. Anyway, I said we had a place in NZ called "Hells Gate" which is as hot as hell - believe me, it is !!! We won't go into any more detail as you can check it out for yourself www.hellsgate.co.nz If you are a tourist heading that way (Rotorua) it's worth checking out.

897. Music Downloads !!!
You can never be too sure, when you are in business, when someone is going to coming along and jump in on the act. One company had "legal" music downloads - then another company came along offering not only more "downloads" but cheaper downloads as well. The first company decided to undercut their price. So it goes on.....!!! Hopefukky the price will go down yet again. They would of done that if competition had not of come along. So its the consumer that wins again.
898. Down Memory Lane
Its the little things that bring back big memories........
Always - One of my maori Uncles saying a prayer, beside the car, before we started off on a long journey.
Taking an Uncles coffin north on the back seat of a hired bus.
Going on "8 Ball" club trips to other towns.
Been a passenger in an older brothers car, which ran off the road, when the axle broke.
Trying to wake up "kids" who were sleeping while a fire raged in the basement of the house, where we lived.
Hiring a "taxi" for a trip from Auckland to Whangarei & back !!!
A cousin waking me up in the early hours of the morning, to say that his "father" who was dying of cancer, had passed away in his bedroom upstairs.
WHAT LITTLE THINGS DO YOU REMEMBER ???
